The Bund
The Bund is the most well-known view in the oriental metropolis Shanghai, and is a must-visit for sightseeing in Shanghai. Bordering the Huangpu River to the east, it houses 52 buildings of dierent architectural styles such as Gothic, Romanesque, Baroque, and a fusion of Chinese and Western styles on the west side, thus being referred to as the “Exotic Building Clusters”. Yu Garden
Situated in the Huangpu District in downtown Shanghai, Yu Garden used to be a private garden during the Ming Dynasty. Built in 1559 and fully demonstrating the architectural and design style of classical Chinese gardens, it is a gem amongst the Jiangnan gardens. Nowadays, it has become a popular scenic spot for visitors to Shanghai from home and abroad. The Garden encompasses Exquisite Jade Rock, known as one of the three most famous stones in Jiangnan, and Dianchun Hall, the command post of the Small Swords Society's Uprising in 1853. Next to it are tourist attractions such as the town god's temple and shopping street.
Shanghai Tower
Dominating the skyline at the very heart of Shanghai's bustling Lujiazui Financial Zone, the awe-inspiring Shanghai Tower soars to a staggering height of 632 meters. This architectural marvel holds the prestigious title of not only China's tallest building but also ranks as the world's third-tallest structure. Zhujiajiao
Water Town
Zhujiajiao Water Town is a charming and historic water town located in the Qingpu District of Shanghai. Zhujiajiao has a history dating back over 1,700 years, making it one of the oldest towns in the region. Many of the buildings in the town are traditional Jiangnan-style structures, featuring white walls and black-tiled roofs. During festivals and holidays, the town offers cultural experiences such as traditional food tasting, lantern-making, and performances.
