German Travel Agents Association Delegation Visits Sichuan to Strengthen Tourism Ties

1 July 2024

At the invitation of the Chengdu Culture, Radio, TV, and Tourism Bureau, a delegation from the German Travel Agents Association (DRV), led by Vice Chairman Volker Adams, completed a six-day visit to Sichuan starting June 15. The trip, fully planned and executed by Hiseas, aimed to deepen cultural and tourism cooperation between China and Germany.

The delegation explored iconic Sichuan attractions, including Wuhou Temple, People’s Park, Dujiangyan Panda Valley, the ancient Dujiangyan Irrigation System, Leshan Giant Buddha, Emei Mountain, and Jiuzhaigou Valley. The fam trip provided an immersive experience of the region’s cultural, ecological, and tourism resources while identifying partnership opportunities.

On June 17, the delegation visited Hiseas headquarters for discussions with Chairman Mr. Duma. Vice Chairman Adams praised Hiseas’ professionalism in organizing the trip and highlighted Sichuan’s tourism potential.

The visit aligned with China’s visa-free policy for German citizens (30-day stays for tourism), which is expected to enhance bilateral travel exchanges.

This fam trip underscores Hiseas’ role in fostering cross-border tourism cooperation, with both sides exploring sustainable travel initiatives and joint destination promotions.
