D1 Guangzhou Arrival
Welcome to Guangzhou! Upon arrival, our professional tour guide will pick you up at the arrival hall of airport or railway station, and escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax.
D2 Guangzhou (B,L)
Start your day at Yuexiu Park, the largest park in downtown Guangzhou. You will visit the iconic Five Rams Statue, a symbol of the city, which represents the city's legend and prosperity. Take a stroll around the park to enjoy its serene lakes, pavilions, and historical sites like Zhenhai Tower.
Then pay a visit to the Chen Clan Temple. It was originally constructed in the late Qing Dynasty (1890-1894) by the Chen clansmen from the surrounding counties who pooled their resources to build it as a place for worshiping their ancestors and as a venue for clan activities. Here you will be amazed by its exquisite and elaborate decorations, including intricate wood carvings, stone carvings, brick carvings, ceramic figurines, cast-iron works, and exquisite artistry in enamel work.
After that, transfer to Shamian Island, a leafy oasis in the heart of the city that was once a foreign concession. Stroll along tree-lined avenues, admire the colonial European architectures.
Followed by a visit to the iconic Canton Tower, the tallest TV tower in China. You will go to the observation deck for a panoramic view of Guangzhou's skyline. If you like, you can also experience the thrilling Sky Drop or Bubble Tram rides(optional).
Optional Experience: Enjoy the 70-minute Pearl River night cruise and marvel at the illuminated cityscape, including the stunning light show of Canton Tower and the various bridge.
D3 Guangzhou-Foshan (B,L)
This morning we will drive about 1 hour to Foshan. On arrival, firstly explore the Ancestral Temple, a historic landmark that dates back to the Song Dynasty. It's renowned for its beautiful architecture, intricate carvings, and artifacts related to Chinese martial arts. Don’t miss the wonderful lion dance performance held three times a day (10:00-10:40; 14:15-14:55; 15:30-16:10).
Head over to Lingnan Tiandi, a restored historic district that blends traditional Lingnan architecture with modern boutiques, restaurants, and cafes. It’s a great place to shop for souvenirs, enjoy a meal, or simply wander through the charming alleys.
After that, drive to Nanfeng Kiln, one of the oldest kilns in China still in operation. It’s part of the larger Nanfeng Ancient Cookstove Kiln Cultural Tourism Area, which includes not only the kiln but also a pottery village and museum. Spend some time learning about the history of pottery in the region, watch artisans at work, and perhaps even try your hand at creating your own piece of pottery(optional).
Stay overnight in Foshan.
D4 Foshan-Shenzhen (B,L)
After breakfast, drive one hour to visit QingHui Garden, one of the Four Great Gardens of Guangdong. The garden features several historic buildings, including halls, pavilions, and a teahouse, all showcasing traditional Lingnan architectural style. Take your time exploring the beautifully landscaped grounds. Keep an eye out for the lotus pond, which is especially picturesque during the summer months.
After that, keep driving two hours to Shenzhen. This afternoon you will visit the Splendid China Folk Culture Village to explore China's diverse cultures and landmarks. Start the visit by exploring the Splendid China section, which features over 100 miniaturized versions of China's most famous landmarks, including the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, Terracotta Warriors and Potala Palace, etc. Then move on to the Folk Culture Village, where you can visit replicas of traditional dwellings from China's 56 ethnic groups. Each village offers unique cultural experiences, from Tibetan monasteries to Dai water-splashing festivals. There are traditional dance performances, acrobatics, and ethnic minority shows that happen throughout the day. The New Oriental Neon Costumes Performance at 17:00pm is highly recommended.
D5 Shenzhen & High speed train to Hong Kong (B,L)
This morning you will first visit the Lotus Hill Park (Lianhuashan Park). Take a leisurely walk through the park’s trails. The hill isn’t too steep, making it suitable for people of all ages. Enjoy the panoramic view of Shenzhen’s skyline, including the iconic skyscrapers that define the city. On a clear day, you can also see Hong Kong across the border.
Then travel to Dafen Oil Painting Village, a unique and vibrant community known worldwide for its production of oil paintings. The village is filled with over 1,000 galleries and studios where you can watch artists at work, purchase paintings, and even commission custom pieces. Take your time to stroll through the village and appreciate the artistic atmosphere.
After that, drive about 30mins to Luohu Commercial City which is a large indoor shopping complex that caters to a wide range of tastes and budgets. The mall houses numerous shops selling clothing, accessories, jewelry, cosmetics, and electronic gadgets. It is a popular shopping destination for both locals and tourists, so be prepared for a busy environment and to have some bargaining skills handy if you're interested in securing the best prices.
The last stop for today is the Ping'an Finance Center, a significant landmark in Shenzhen. The building stands at approximately 599 meters (1,965 ft) tall, making it the second tallest building in China after the Shanghai Tower. You will ascend the observation deck called "Cloud Club Shenzhen" on the 116th floor for stunning views of the city and the Pearl River Delta.
After the tour, transfer to the railway station to catch a 30-min high speed train to Hong Kong. Upon arrival at Hong Kong West Kowloon Railway Station, you will be picked up by the local guide and transferred to your hotel for check in.
D6 Hong Kong(B)
After breakfast, your guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel, and escort you to visit one of Hong Kong's most iconic attractions-Victoria Peak. Take the famous Peak Tram and enjoy the spectacular views as you ascend to Victoria Peak. Once you reach the top, head to the Sky Terrace 428 for panoramic views of Hong Kong Island, Victoria Harbour, and Kowloon. If you are looking for a leisurely hike, you can take the Peak Circle Walk(abt 1.5hrs). It's a 3.5-kilometer trail that circles around the Peak, providing different vantage points of the city.
Descend the peak by car and head towards the old town of Sheung Wan. Sheung Wan is a vibrant neighborhood in Hong Kong with a rich history and a blend of old-world charm and contemporary culture. Spend some time to explore the antique shops and art galleries in this area before heading to the Star Ferry Pier. You can also visit a traditional wet market, where you can find fresh produce, seafood, and cooked food stalls.
Later, board the Star Ferry at the Central Pier and cross Victoria Harbour to Tsim Sha Tsui. Enjoy the stunning views of the skyline from the deck as you cross the harbour. After the 8-minute ferry ride, you will disembark at Tsim Sha Tsui and stroll along the Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade and Avenue of Stars.
After that, transfer to the Diamond Hill area of Kowloon, and visit the tranquil Nan Lian Garden. Nan Lian Garden is a traditional Chinese garden designed in the Tang Dynasty style. It covers an area of about 35,000 square meters and features a series of pavilions, bridges, ponds, and rock formations. Next to the Nan Lian Garden, you will visit the beautiful Chi Lin Nunnery which is a Buddhist temple originally founded in 1934.
After the tour, you will be dropped off at your hotel. The rest of the day is yours.
D7 Lantau Island&Tai O Village(B)
This morning you will be picked up at your hotel and get transferred to the Tung Chung Station which is the entry point to Lantau Island. Take the Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car(standard cabin), and enjoy stunning aerial views of the North Lantau Country Park and the South China Sea.
Upon arrival at Ngong Ping Village, head to the Tian Tan Buddha, also known as the Big Buddha. This majestic 34-meter-high bronze statue is one of the largest Buddha statues in the world. Climb the 268 steps to the base of the statue for a closer look and to enjoy the panoramic views. You will also visit the Po Lin Monastery, a serene Buddhist monastery that sits at the foot of the Tian Tan Buddha. The monastery is known for its impressive architecture and peaceful atmosphere. After that, take a short walk to the Wisdom Path, a tranquil path lined with wooden columns inscribed with verses from the Heart Sutra.
Then you will take a local bus to Tai O, the "Venice of Hong Kong". This charming fishing village is famous for its stilt houses, built over the water. These houses have been the traditional dwelling of the local fishing communities for generations. Wander through the village market, where you can find local produce, dried seafood, and souvenirs. Don't miss trying some of the local snacks like shrimp paste, fish balls, and grilled squid.
After the visit, take a bus back to Tung Chung Station, and you will be transferred back to your hotel.
D8 Hong Kong- Macau -Hong Kong(B)
Start your day by taking the ferry from Hong Kong to Macau(abt 1 hour). Upon arrival, head to A-Ma Temple, one of the oldest and most famous temples in Macau. Founded in the 15th century during the Ming Dynasty, the A-Ma Temple is named after Mazu, a Chinese sea goddess revered by sailors and seafarers for her protective powers. Then proceed to the Statue of Kum Iam, a colossal statue of the goddess Guanyin. This statue stands as a symbol of compassion and protection, embodying the attributes of Guanyin, who is widely venerated in Mahayana Buddhism as the Bodhisattva of Compassion. You will also make a stop at the Macau Tower for an outside look at this iconic structure.
In the afternoon, pay a visit to the Ruins of St. Paul’s which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site as part of the Historic Centre of Macau. The Ruins of St. Paul’s were once part of the Church of Mater Dei, built in 1602-1640 by the Jesuits. The church was destroyed by a fire in 1835, leaving only the façade and the front stairway standing. Walk down to Senado Square, a charming plaza in the heart of Macau’s historic center. Surrounded by pastel-colored buildings, it’s a great spot for shopping and people-watching. If you like, you can also spend some time exploring one of the mega-casinos.
After the tour, transfer back to Hong Kong by ferry, and we will escort you to your hotel.
